What is Moon.com play money?

Moon.com play money is a simulated balance that refills to $100,000 without limit. It carries the same wagering features as the live platform, so you can test leverage of up to 1000x, watch how the max loss price works and where Moon shows it, and try the auto profit close and auto loss close settings. The 1% opening fee shows the same way on a play money bet, though the wager and any profit or loss are simulated. A real deposit needs identity verification first. Every figure on this page comes from Moon's own help centre, checked 10 September 2026.

A $100,000 balance that refills without limit

Moon's play money mode gives you a simulated balance. It refills to $100,000, and Moon places no limit on how many times it refills. The features match the live platform: the same bet menu, the same leverage choices, and the same fee lines on the wager summary. Nothing here touches your own funds.

What you can practise: leverage and the max loss price

Play money lets you test leverage of up to 1000x, the same ceiling Moon offers on the live platform, depending on the market and conditions. A bet's loss is capped at the wager, and the bet closes automatically at the max loss price. Moon calculates that price the moment the bet opens, and shows it on the wager summary, in the open bets list, and as a red line on the chart. Watching it move on a play money bet is a safe way to learn what a real one would do. See the mechanics in full on the leverage page.

Auto close settings, and the opening fee

The optional auto profit close and auto loss close settings work in play money too. Set a profit or loss percentage in advance, and Moon closes the bet automatically when the price reaches it. The opening fee shows the same way: 1% of the wager, not of the leveraged position. Because the wager itself is simulated, so is the fee. No real money moves at any point. The full fee breakdown for a live bet is on the fees page.

What play money copies from the live platform, and what it does not

This is leveraged betting on the live platform, even though nothing is at risk in play money. You can lose your whole wager once real funds are involved. Moon is 18 and over only, and available in supported countries.

Real money needs identity verification first

Play money needs no identity verification. A real deposit does. Moon requires you to submit verification before you can deposit, and to have it approved before you can withdraw. The full requirements are on the KYC and deposits page. Whether Moon has a mobile app to practise on is answered on the mobile app page.
