Moon.com rakeback explained

Moon's rakeback returns 3.5% of the fees you pay, on winning and losing bets alike, once it is activated on the account. It applies to the opening fee, the holding fee and the performance fee. Moon's help centre gives three ways to activate it, and none of them is the referral code ACES on its own. Every figure below comes from Moon's own help centre, checked 10 September 2026.

The rate: 3.5% of fees, on wins and losses alike

Moon's rakeback returns 3.5% of the fees you pay, on winning and losing bets alike, once it is activated on the account. A losing bet still pays the opening fee, and rakeback returns 3.5% of that fee too. Rakeback is a rebate on what you already paid, not a reward tied to a win. It does not change your wager, your leverage, or the price at which a bet closes.

Which fees rakeback applies to

Rakeback applies to fees from opening a wager, holding a wager for more than 8 hours, and closing a bet at a profit. That covers the three charges on the fees page. The 1% opening fee applies when a bet opens. The holding fee applies every 8 hours a bet stays open. The performance fee applies when a bet closes at a profit. Rakeback returns 3.5% of each of these, separately, as they are paid.

Three ways Moon activates rakeback, in Moon's own words

Moon's help centre gives three routes to activation. First, it activates automatically for an account that registered through a streamer or a known affiliate. Second, ask Moon support directly. Third, reach the Bronze VIP level. Moon's help centre lists the Bronze route on its own, separate from an affiliate link.

This site does not promise that the code ACES activates rakeback by itself. The help centre ties automatic activation to an affiliate relationship, not to a specific code. If rakeback does not appear on your account, ask Moon support, or check your VIP level.

Where rakeback appears

Once activated, rakeback appears under Account, then VIP, then Rakeback. Check that path after any fee-paying bet. It confirms rakeback is active and shows the running total it has returned. If the page shows no total after activation, place a small bet and pay a fee. Then check the path again. The total updates as fees post to the account.

Rakeback does not help you if you rarely bet: 3.5% of $10 in fees is 35 cents. It is not a reason to bet more, and it never turns a losing bet into a winning one.

A worked table: fees paid against rakeback returned

Rakeback is 3.5% of fees paid, regardless of how those fees built up. The table below applies the rate to three fee totals, so you can match it against your own account's fee history.

Fees paidRakeback at 3.5%
$50$1.75
$100$3.50
$500$17.50

The rakeback column is arithmetic: 3.5% of the fees paid column. Moon totals the fee history on your own account, so your own figure depends on how much you have opened, held and closed.

How rakeback stacks with the 20% opening-fee discount

The code ACES is a partner offer of 20% off Moon's trading fees. Moon's public pages show only the standard fees, so the discounted rate appears on the wager summary of an account created with the code. Moon charges a 1% opening fee when a new bet is opened, calculated on the wager amount only, not on the leveraged exposure. The two rewards apply at different points, so they stack rather than replace each other. The discount lowers the fee you pay. Rakeback returns a share of whatever fee you did pay, after the discount.

Take $10,000 of wagers opened in a month. At the standard 1% opening fee, that is $100. With the code ACES, the opening fee falls to 0.8%, or $80. Rakeback at 3.5% then returns 3.5% of that $80, which is $2.80. The account pays $80 in opening fees and receives $2.80 back, for a net opening cost of $77.20 on $10,000 of wagers. Add the holding fee and the performance fee from the same month, and rakeback returns 3.5% of those totals too.

Rakeback on a losing bet

A losing bet on Moon still pays the opening fee, and can still pay the holding fee if it stayed open past 8 hours. It never pays the performance fee, since that fee applies only to a profitable close. Rakeback returns 3.5% of whatever fees the losing bet did pay. It does not return any part of the wager itself, and it does not lower the loss below the wager amount.

What rakeback is not

Moon's help centre and affiliate page document a fee discount by partner code, rakeback and a VIP programme. Neither publishes a welcome bonus or a deposit match. Rakeback is not free credit added to a balance, and it is not paid before you trade. It returns a fixed share of a fee you already paid on a bet you already placed. Your loss is capped at your wager. The bet closes automatically at the max loss price, and your balance cannot go below zero because of a bet. Rakeback does not change that cap.
