No native app, and no date for one
Moon's help centre answers this directly. Moon does not currently offer a native mobile app. It runs inside your phone's browser instead, at moon.com. Moon uses the word currently, which leaves open the chance of a native app later. Moon gives no date for it. A page that named a launch date would be guessing, so this one does not.
What runs in the browser instead
A progressive web app is a website that behaves like an installed app. It opens in its own window, without the browser's address bar, and sits as an icon on your home screen. Moon.com works this way on a phone. You do not need an app store visit or a download.
How to add Moon.com to your home screen
Moon describes the following Share-menu route. Some browsers put Add to Home Screen or Install in the main browser menu instead; labels vary by device and version.
- Open moon.com in your phone's browser.
- Tap the browser's Share icon.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name, then tap Add.
An icon for Moon.com then sits on your home screen, next to your other apps. A new sign-in may be required. We have not verified whether a home-screen installation shares your browser session.
Security works the same in the browser
Moon’s help centre describes two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, and passkey login as an alternative to a password. You can see a list of active sessions and disconnect one you do not recognise. A password reset logs out every session automatically. These are documented features, not an independent security audit.
Betting and play money work the same too
A bet on Moon has a direction, up or down, a wager amount and a leverage amount, in the browser exactly as it would in an app. The wager is the most you can lose. This is leveraged betting. You can lose your whole wager. Moon is 18 and over only, and available in supported countries. Moon's play money mode gives a simulated balance that refills to $100,000 without limit, with the same wagering features as the live platform. Practise in the browser before you risk real funds. What you need before a real deposit
A real deposit needs identity verification first. Moon requires you to submit it before you can deposit, and to have it approved before you can withdraw. The full requirements are on the KYC and deposits page. Short answers to other common questions are on the FAQ page.
