Responsible gambling

Moon is for people 18 and over, in countries where it is supported. Betting on Moon uses leverage. You can lose your whole wager on a single bet, and a higher leverage loses it on a smaller move in price. Fees add to the cost of every bet. Moon's play money mode lets you learn the platform with a simulated balance before you risk real funds. If gambling is causing harm, the organisations below can help.

What leveraged betting means

A bet on Moon has a wager and a leverage amount. Leverage multiplies your position, not your wager. If the price moves against you far enough, the bet closes and you lose the wager you put in. You cannot lose more than the wager on a single bet, but you can lose the whole of it.

Higher leverage means a smaller move can cost you everything

Moon calculates a max loss price when a bet opens. Leverage decides how close that price sits to the price you entered at. At low leverage, the market has to move a long way to reach it. At high leverage, a small move can reach it in minutes. Read the leverage and the max loss price on your wager summary before you confirm a bet.

Fees add to the cost

Moon charges an opening fee when a bet opens. It also charges a holding fee every 8 hours a bet stays open, and a performance fee on a winning bet. Fees apply whether the bet wins or loses. Factor them into what a bet needs to earn back before it is worth opening.

Check the numbers before you confirm

Moon shows the max loss price and the opening fee on the wager summary before you confirm a bet. Read both lines. They tell you what the bet can cost before you commit any money.

Practise with play money first

Moon offers a play money mode with a simulated balance. Try leverage there and see how the max loss price moves, before you deposit real funds. Using it costs nothing and risks nothing.

Moon is only available where it is supported

Moon requires you to reside in a country or region where it is available before you can create an account. It does not accept accounts from people under 18.
