What you can bet on
Moon offers wagers on cryptocurrency, equities, futures, commodities and forex, around the clock. One account covers all five, so you do not switch platforms to move from a crypto pair to a stock index or a currency pair.
A bet on Moon has a direction, up or down, a wager amount and a leverage amount. The wager is the most you can lose. You pick a direction, up or down, a wager and a leverage amount, and Moon settles the bet on the price move from there.
Leverage and your maximum loss
Moon offers leverage of up to 1000x, depending on the market and conditions. Leverage multiplies your exposure to a price move. It does not multiply what you can lose. Your loss is capped at your wager. The bet closes automatically at the max loss price, and your balance cannot go below zero because of a bet.
The max loss price is calculated when the bet opens and is shown on the wager summary, in the open bets list and as a red line on the chart. Optional auto profit close and auto loss close settings close a bet automatically at a chosen profit or loss percentage. Those settings let you fix a profit target or a loss limit before the bet runs, instead of watching the position yourself.

The three fees, in one sentence each
Moon charges a 1% opening fee when a new bet is opened, calculated on the wager amount only, not on the leveraged exposure. A holding fee is assessed every 8 hours while a bet stays open. Moon states the rate is dynamic, moves with market conditions, volatility, liquidity and funding costs, and is displayed inside the platform. When a bet closes at a profit, a performance fee applies. Moon states it is calculated on realised profit, is subject to a minimum of 10% of realised profit, and is not charged on losing bets. Getting started
To create an account you must reside in a country or region where Moon is available and supported. Identity verification must be submitted before you can make a deposit, and approved before you can withdraw funds. Moon states that at this time it supports cryptocurrency deposits only: pick the asset, copy the deposit address, and send from an external wallet on the matching network. Moon does not currently offer a native mobile app. It runs in a mobile browser and can be added to the home screen as a progressive web app. Moon has a play money mode with a simulated balance that refills to $100,000 without limit, with the same wagering features as the live platform.
